Kenny Watson – “Jesus”

Kenny Watson, an accomplished musician who has toured nationally and internationally, has vocal versatility that spans across the genres of R&B, jazz, alternative, classical, and hip-hop.

He is engaged in social activism with his music as the co-music director and headline performer with AfroFlow, a cancer awareness initiative with the American Cancer Society. This is Kenny’s fourth year playing role of “Jesus.”

Vincent Kelly – “Peter”

Originally from the Metro-Detroit area, Vincent Kelly feels honored to be a part of something bringing such amazing art throughout the Detroit area. Most recently: “Les Miserables” (Marius), “Life Could Be a Dream” (Wally), and a vocalist with Celebrity Cruises Inc.

Vincent is also the 2017 Costumer and brings his passion for design to life for the cast of TCTL. Much love and great thanks to his wonderful family, friends, God, Nieto Productions, and the incredible team of TCTL!

Ashley Rozanski – “Mary Magdalene”

Ashley Rozanski currently resides and performs throughout New York City, but is proud to originally be from Michigan.

Her favorite roles include Elle Woods in “Legally Blonde” at the Detroit Actors Theatre Company for which she was the recipient of the DATCY Award for Best Actress in a musical, and Marta in “Company,” for which she was an Irene Ryan semi-finalist at KCACTF.

Nancy Ingles – “Blessed Mother”

Nancy Ingles moved to NYC where she started her professional theatre career. She began as the lead singer for Holland America cruise lines, later joined the national tours of “Jesus Christ Superstar” and “Shout! The Mod Musical,” and finally was crowned Miss USO in 2008 where she toured nationally.

She recently moved back to Michigan where she has since joined several local theaters playing Amalia in “She Loves Me,” Emma in “Jekyll and Hyde,” and Cosette in “Les Miserables.” She is thrilled to join the cast of “The Cross and the Light” where her faith will be the inspiration behind the music.

Bradley Ellison – “Pontius Pilate, Priest”

Bradley Ellison is a graduate of Oakland University, where he studied musical theater and business and administration.

Prior roles in his 27 year career include Marius in “Les Miserables” and “Joseph” in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. He and his wife are excited to make their debut this summer in the greatest role they can imagine: mommy and daddy.

Arielle Crosby – “Mary Cleophus”

Arielle Crosby is a native Detroiter and graduate of Kentucky State University with experience singing opera, musical theatre, gospel, pop and R&B. She has performed as a soloist and with ensembles on stages ranging from the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville to the Palau de Música in Barcelona.

She has starred in several productions in the Detroit area including “Aida”, “Dreamgirls”, the up-and-coming Detroit Public Theatre’s season opener “Murder Ballad”, and, most recently, “In The Heights”. She is glad to be rejoining the cast of The Cross and the Light.

Matt Redmond – “Judas, Thomas”

Matt Redmond is a Singer/Actor/model from the Detroit area. He studied vocal music performance at Macomb Community college, and Western Michigan university.

In 2013, he was a contestant on American Idol. In 2016, he played the role of Benjamin in the short film “Akoma”, which went on to win quite a few awards in film festivals around the country including Click On Detroit’s Film Festival. Currently, he is the male vocalist for The Simone Vitale Band.

The Cross and the Light is a spectacular Broadway-caliber musical and multisensory experience of Christ’s Passion, Death, Resurrection, and the coming of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost.
